Aguadulce, Spain

Bus from Marbella -5 hrs. 30 mins.
 7/11-7/16

Aguadulce turned out to be even more beautiful than I expected. I loved it!! We stayed in the upstairs loft of Celia and Irene, who have a beautiful condo on the beach. Thus far, Aguadulce ranks with Estepona as one of my favorites. At night it was peaceful to sit on the roof and listen to the ocean while watching the Sierra Nevada's light up. We spent most of our time at the beach and walking around sightseeing. We traveled to Tabernas, the only desert in Europe, where we toured Mini Hollywood.  A Fist Full of Dollars and other old spaghetti westerns were filmed there. The place is staged as an old western town. Just outside the mock town, there is a zoo and a pool area to relax and cool off; which we took full advantage of. Aguadulce, it is not a touristy town so we did encounter a few quizzical glances now and then but it is so friendly, lovely and reasonable.
