Lisbon, Portugal
Spent our first day in Lisbon exploring. We walked around the city center and went to the market for lunch. We headed down to the river to Praça do Comércio and then walked from the river back to the top of the city to Marquis of Pombal Square. On our second day we figured out transportation and took the metro (subway) then caught the train (about an hour) to Cascais to hit the beach. It was filled with people and extremely hot, so packing our beach umbrella saved us. Found some great evening hangout spots. I forgot just how late people are in Europe and the streets were busy pretty much all night. My favorite was exploring Belém and touring Padrão dos Descobrimentos and Belém Tower. We saw the 25th of April Bridge which is considered the twin sister of the Golden Gate Bridge. We ended our last night with an amazing Portuguese dinner and drinks.
