Ronda, Spain
Bus from Malaga - 2 hrs. 28 mins
The bus ride was not as scary as all the reviews stated, however we live in the mountains where there are many scary mountain roads. Ronda is a beautiful little town with amazing views. The best view was from the balcony of our Airbnb that overlooked the El Tajo de Ronda.
We explored both the north and south of the bridge; the north was more traditional, the south more touristy. We found a restaurant where we could escape the blazing sun under the cool shade and had a bite to eat and a wonderful cold glass of Sangria. IT WAS HOT! (If you go in the summer be sure to bring a hat and wear sunscreen.) We never ate out for dinner and why would we? We had a better view than the restaurant below us, where people were paying top dollar for a meal with a view. We bought some wine and ordered two pizzas to go.
I should have listened to Jim when he said: “Are you sure you want that? Because I am hungry enough to eat my whole pizza and I am not sure there will be enough to share. I suggest ordering something you know you like?” Note-to-self.....never order a salmon pizza with cream sauce! I didn’t go hungry that night, but I did have to find a place to dump the stinky pizza all by myself!
